My journey into the world of conscious skincare and animal advocacy began with two extraordinary companions. My first rescue dog, Scally, who then brought us our lovable Pit Bull, Blue (aka blueberry, blue sky, or blue bear depending on the mood). When Blue first entered our lives, he was a living testament to the resilience of the canine spirit. He had faced adversity, and his journey towards healing was awe inspiring. 

Blue's initial days with us were filled with challenges. He didn't know how to play with toys, and something as simple as climbing stairs was a daunting task. But his unwavering determination and boundless love were the sparks that ignited a profound change in my life.

As I watched Blue transform, I couldn't help but be moved by the idea that second chances and love can work miracles. His progress wasn't just a physical transformation; it was a testament to the incredible capacity of animals to overcome obstacles when they find a safe and happy home.

That's when the idea of Happy Plant Botanicals was born. I wanted to create a brand that not only nurtures your skin but extends that same love and care to animals in need. We're not just about skincare; we're about spreading compassion. According to the latest statistics, almost 400,000 dogs, many perfectly healthy and full of love, are euthanized each year due to overcrowded shelters. That's why 5% of all our proceeds go directly to small grassroots animal rescues, inspired by the very pup who taught me about resilience and the joy of second chances.
